Stuffed Flank Steak Recipe

This great recipe is perfect to serve as a delicious main dish. You can stuff flank steak with many different ingredients, other popular stuffing ingredients are spinach, carrots, and cheese, but for this recipe we will be using rice.

This Recipe: 4 Servings, 1 hour to cook, Prep time 25 minutes


1 (1 1/4 pound) beef flank steak
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup vegetable oil
2 tablespoons molasses
2 teaspoons ground mustard
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 clove garlic, minced
1 1/2 cups cooked long-grain rice
1 medium carrot, shredded
1/2 cup sliced water chestnuts
1/4 cup sliced green onions


  1. Cut a horizontal slit through the stake half way in, starting on the long side. Place in a suitable sized greased backing dish. Combine the oil, mustard, soy sauce, molasses, ginger and garlic; set aside 1/4 cup. Pour remaining marinade over meat. Let sit for 30 minutes.
  2. Now combine the rice, water chestnuts, carrot, onions and reserved marinade. Stuff it all into the steak and then cover. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes. Uncover and baste with pan drippings, then back for another 15-20 minutes longer or until meat is tender.
